Are you a beginning Dharma practitioner, or just looking to refresh your knowledge? This is the class for you!

This 5-week online series will provide an overview of the basic foundational teachings of Buddha.

Topics will include:

  • Meditation Instruction from the Buddha’s Discourse on Establishing Mindfulness
  • The Four Noble Truths
  • The Eight-Fold Path
  • The Three Jewels
  • The practice of mettā
  • Pali language terminology associated with all these teachings

This course is a great progression from the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course, Essentials of Mindfulness course or the Mindful Self-Compassion course.

These teachings put mindfulness meditation in a larger framework aimed at diminishing (or even eliminating) forms of unnecessary mental distress and suffering through the meditative cultivation, the cultivation of wisdom and the practice of restraint.
