Awakening Well-Being: Cultivating Wholesome States in Difficult Times

September 20 - September 27

The Buddha was called “The Happy One”, but often there is more emphasis on overcoming suffering than developing well-being. Besides learning to open to life’s difficulties, the Buddha taught that cultivating, maintaining and increasing wholesome states is what creates the conditions for awakening. We can deepen this cultivation of well-being through intensive meditation practice.

This silent retreat will focus on cultivation of various states of well-being (kusala in Pali) and will include periods of sitting, walking, instructions, daily talks and meeting with the teachers. Both new and experienced meditators are welcome.
